Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1)Angelfall by Susan Ee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 stars

 photo 118CADA4-0655-4C2B-AC3E-A1CB0008AB1C_zpsqh6zuhz8.jpg

Wasn't wowed but action packed. Penryn is looking for her sister who was taken by the angels. Raffe is an angel in need of getting his wings fixed. Together they are temporary allies.

I liked Penryn, her determination and her loyalty to people she cares about. Even a few chuckle-worthy moments in her pov:

I've never seen a guy strip before. It's only natural to have the impulse to watch, isn't it?

I knew there wasn't gonna be much romance, but I felt there wasn't enough dialogue from both Raffe and Penryn.

Very little romance but with more books to come I can see this couple getting a bit angsty/forbidden, packed full of action and the turn of events in the last 20% had me gripped. Looking forward to more of the series x

Really enjoyed this best friends to lovers book! Tommy lost everything, his title, his home, the one person who never left his side is Julie.

Tommy was sweet yet protective. His denial of his feelings made me want to kick him and hug him at the same time.

Can I come home to you?

I loved how their relationship changed and was very believable. And would you believe I cried some happy tears, granted it was a bit cheesy but what the heck I love these two.

For a short book it felt like a long time for them to get together but I loved the sexual tension, was missing an epilogue and a few flash backs would have been great. But overall a great read x

Loved it! Pete comes out of prison and sent to a camp for children with special needs. He meets a girl from his past, Raegan.

I absolutely love this series. I feel like each brother have their own unique story and I loved the teasers into Matt and Paul's stories.

The flirtatious banter between Pete and Raegan were priceless:

Pete: Is my virtue in jeopardy, Miss Caster?

I cant think of anything that I didnt like. It was cute, sweet and sexy with great connection between the main characters. Exactly my type of book x

Ho Boy!! I would have never guessed I would enjoy a fantasy book this much. Finnie crosses over to an alternative universe and swaps places with her twin. Little did she know she was about to marry Frey.

KA style it was a longish book but it didnt feel like it. One huge problem I had was it was missing a nice epilogue.

You are, my wee Finnie, beyond my wildest dreams

A fabulous dragon/elves/witch type book with a hunky sweet KA Alpha male and a kickass likeable heroine. Great book!

Stinger (Sign of Love, #3)Stinger by Mia Sheridan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 stars

Im not normally a big fan of insta-love but I really liked this couple. Carson is a porn star and Grace is studying law. They knew it was only going to be a weekend together.

I loved part 1 how they met, the sex, the titanic references, the back and forth sexual remarks.

If you're not messy afterwards, baby, you didn't do it right

Part 2 surpised me and how their weekend changed them both. Part 3 felt like a part-suspense.

I enjoyed this and if you are looking for a couple with great chemistry and a story that that covers everything from steamy to angst to suspense this is a good choice to pick up.

Note: There is some (view spoiler)

A could not put this down book! We follow the story of two woman both with horrible pasts, Carly and Tabitha.

I was heartbroken for both stories. The dual pov made me connect with them both. However, add in past/present format to the dual pov, the story got a tad confusing.

You've turn me inside out Carly. Inside out

Kyle was such a sweetheart, Seth felt a bit creepy and Alex I loved him! I read this book in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was heartbreaking and a real page turner

This was cute. Jack a famous celebrity is hiding out from a scandal and meets waitress, Keri Ann.

Keri Ann was a bit dull to me. Jack was nice but didnt leave a lasting impression.

But their getting to know each other and their almost moments was sweet. I wasn't sure about them at first but they grew on me. This would have been a 4 star if it wasn't for the drama at the end.

A sweet waitress meets celebrity type book with a little drama and a cliffy x

This book has hearts and flowers written all over it. Zoe is jobless and alone. Her landlord, Trevor, helps get her a job. A start of a great frienship turns into friends with benefits.

I really liked Zoe. I thought she was a strong heroine considering her background. Trevor's character was over the top and hilarious but such a sweetie.

You're a Bradford... We always fuck up

It was predictable but entertaining. A fabulous light and funny book that left me with a fat grin.

We met Wes and Rubi in book 1. The spotlight is on them now as they move from friends to lovers.

Wes only does commited relationships. Where you gonna find a guy like that?! He was rediculously perfect and the notes he wrote Rubi. Aww!!!

If that were true, baby... I'd have done you by now

I was hoping this book would change my opinion of Rubi since book 1. If anything I dont like her even more. You know the type, fighting the attraction running, jumping to conclusions, running again *sigh*

Great sexual tension and the sex scenes were steamy hot! A good sequel, only let down was the heroine x

What a book! Angela, kidnapped and taken as a sex slave. Colin, undercover agent, ordered to save her.

I loved how conflicted Colin felt with his feelings towards Angela. And Angela, what this girl went through!!!

It is better to try than to hope

My only issue was it took too long for the main characters to meet. When they did, it was almost insta love without really talking to each other.

But I was gripped, disgusted by some events that took place and eager for their happy ending. A fast paced disturbingly twisted dark erotic read.

With the sacrifice Carmine made for Haven, this sequel was really difficult to read.

The destructive path Carmine was heading down was just depressing. It wouldn't have been so bad if there was more romance but it probably only took up 20-30% of the book.

No matter what. Sempre

I was disappointed in Carmine. Haven's college life felt unncessary. The attention was more centred around Carmine's uncle.

There was plenty of gasp moments, and mafia/action loving readers will love this. Unfortunately it was missing the romance for me.

Wow what a way to end this book! Dex and Perry have gone full circle and are back to where they first met now filming at a haunted school.

I miss Dex's POV but Perry's POV is just as good. Their chemistry together is mind blowing but I wanted more more more!!!

You, Perry, have my heart. You are my heart

Karina Halle style there's the creepy investigating of the haunted school, Sexy Dexy time, swooning moments and a few storylines left hanging to lead us to the ultimate epic finale. I know its going to be amazing already. Come on Dust to Dust!!!

And for my Goodread friends who have yet to meet my all time favourite book boyfriend:

Wow wow wow and wow!!!

The 7th book in the series and it was beyond anything I expected. Told entirely from Dex POV, we are finally at a place in the series where I am happy and things sure are heating up for our favourite couple. Though, things don't go as expected when they investigate a voodoo sect.

Dex is without a doubt my all time favourite book boyfriend. He's cheeky and charming ways has me swooning and falling harder for him each time.

“I realised it didn’t mean anything without Perry by my side. She was my reason for living. She was the reason I’d come alive in the first place.”

I felt for Perry. She was being cautious and with valid reason considering their past. Still as likeable as ever, a genuinely kiss-ass heroine.

I love this couple and I can't gush on enough about them. Really looking forward to their next book Ashes to Ashes. If you have not started this series I would highly recommend this for all!!! X

Blog Tour: The Redhead plays her Hand

Summary:

The third sexy novel in USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton’s playful and erotic Redhead series continues the sizzling romance between actress Grace Sheridan and Hollywood’s hottest leading man Jack Hamilton.

Grace has landed the lead in a new TV series—but when the director asks her to lose fifteen pounds, she goes public with her weight struggles and suddenly develops a huge fan club who support her right to have curves. But between that and the public’s continuing fascination with her “are they or aren’t they” relationship with Jack, Grace begins to wonder if anyone’s really interested in her because of her upcoming TV series, or if it’s all speculation about the size of her ass and her bedroom partner.

Meanwhile, Jack is voted the Sexiest Man Alive and becomes a little too enamored with the party-hard lifestyle. Grace vows to give him the space he needs to find himself, but then he begins to spiral down from lovable Brit to Hollywood brat. People are talking, but are Jack and Grace? Her career is on the rise, and his continues into the stratosphere, but will she be able to catch him if he falls? Will they ever be able to just be a couple who can hold hands when they walk down the street?

If you've read the first two books, you'll be familiar with Jack and Grace. Grace has her new series coming up and Jack is rising in popularity.

This book we saw glimpses of the old Jack and the love he feels for Grace was never questioned, but I felt for part of the book, he was a different person and my heart was hurting.

how long are you on an all air diet?

Grace has matured and grown up but I wanted the carefree crazy girl back. I felt although with good reason she spent the majority a nagging girlfriend.

The sex was still sexy, there was humour but this was more angsty. Why do I get the feeling there maybe another book in the making? No matter what still one of my favourite couples x

Jared's POV. We get to read how he feels about Tate, why he is the way he is and how his relationship with his family is like.

I think the author did a great job in trying to make this book not too similar to the first but I feel like there wasn't much added to the story that wasn't already told in Bully.

Tate. My Tate. My best friend, and my worse enemy

I liked getting inside Jared's head but I felt we got too much of the same thoughts running on repeat. Not many heroines I like but Tate was one that I adore.

It didn't wow me like Bully but for Jared fans you wouldn't want to miss this.

Gosh... this book started off dark and then it got darker. Emily being kidnapped and torn away from her lover, Logan aka Sculpt. But who is her kidnapper and what did they want with her?

You, Emily. You're worth fighting for

Loved all the oh no no no moments. But then the change in storyline became more NA and that's when it lost my attention. Half the book is a wow 5 stars and the other half is a 3ish stars.

I felt like this book was a bit of everything. There's dark romance, second chance lovers, broken heroine, alpha male fighter/rocker... and there's more! Maybe a bit too much for an average length book. But overall it was a good read x

Before We Fall (Beautifully Broken, #3)Before We Fall by Courtney Cole

Don't you hate it when you read about a famous guy and the heroine is clueless as to who he is? Not the case here! Dominic is a famous actor and Jacey has her own past issues.

I loved Dominic at first, a loveable jerk but then his overconfidence was a buzzkill.

But like every other woman out there, she’s attracted to me because of who I am

Jacey for the majority was alright, cried quite a bit, constantly wanting to talk, I didn't like how she treated Brand and one thing she did (or try to do) didn't sit right with me.

This book started off really well but the big reveal dragged on and the ending was strange! But if you like a broken jerk of a hero, sexual tension and a bit darkish NA this would be the book to pick up.

Book Summary:
Ryan Kendall is broken. He understands pain. He knows the hand of violence and the ache of loss. He knows what it means to fail those who need you. Being broken doesn’t stop him wanting the one thing he can’t have; Finlay Tanner. Her smile is sweet and her future bright. Heart wrenching!! Ryan is best friends with Fin's brother. Back from the Army, Ryan is hurting from his past but will he be able to break down those walls to love her?

Ryan is those broken heroes you cant help but love for the pain he is feeling but at the same time wish he would stop fighting his feelings and stop hurting Fin. Fin was really clumsy and it was a bit offputting at times.

I'll love you longer than the stars that live in the sky

It was pretty obvious the direction of the story and it still went straight to my heart. Very emotional but I couldn't force the tears out. A fast pace story about a broken hero, brothers best friend romance, guilt and redemption.

An emotional roller coaster!!! Lochan and Maya are brother and sister that care for their younger siblings. Most of the time they felt like the parents and you can feel their inner turmoil over their changing relationship.

As disturbing as their relationship was, it felt right for them and the moments they shared was so special.

You're not just my brother, you're my best friend

Individually I loved them both. Lochan for his social awkwardness and protector of the family. Maya for her strength and her decisiveness.

Heartbreaking, emotional and full of angst for their forbidden relationship. This is a story I will not forget.

Thanks for the BR Harriet, I would never have read this alone x

This was a very unique book. Madison has 2 relationship going on at the same time where they both know about the other. I liked that we find out how this arrangements came about.

Both guys were gorgeous and the sex scenes were hot. I had a hard time deciding who I liked better.

And the more I fuck one, the more turned on the other gets

The ending was bittersweet for me as although it was the right decision for Madison, it was not the choice I wanted.

If your looking for a book with loads of sex and a few shockers this is a really good book to pick up.

Another one in the battered hearts series I love. Tabitha and Wyatt have been separated for 13 years but now she's back. The story brought us back to when they were younger and we got to know them through the years.

Wyatt... where would you find a guy like him? So unconditionally devoted to Tabitha. And Tabitha, I was worried I would be angry at her for leaving. But it was completely the right decision.

Nothing is impossible, especially if it’s worth fighting for, and you have always been worth fighting for.

Love all the old characters back. Although we've had Clay's story I feel we understand his past a bit better. And Jules, I love the twin chemistry with Wyatt.

Overall, great romance development,a decent amount of sexy time, and I thought it was one of the best second chance romance I've read in a while. X

Very enjoyable!! Lindsey is the daughter of Sammie from book 1. Fate has her crossing paths with one of the g-men and manwhore, Taz.

What I liked about this book was I thought it had the perfect mix of drama/smut/suspense. Taz was adelicious Alpha male and Lindsey was a very likeable heroine (except for one bit).

We're going to my place... We're going to fuck

There isn't much I can say negatively about this book except that I didnt read the rape warning in the blurb otherwise I would have been able to prepare myself better. Still, wasn't easy to read.

This book had great pace, it wassteamy but had a great storyline going and of course most importantlyTaz was hot. What more can you ask for?! Well worth a try x
