Blog Tour: More than Forever by Jay McLean

Guest Review:

More Than Forever (More, #4)More Than Forever by Jay McLean
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5--Our Forever--Stars!!

I fell in love with Lucy and Cam in the other books in the series.  To say that I was scared to read their story is a gross understatement.  In my eyes they were perfect.

"You're my art, Luce.  My heart."
The first half of the book...watching Cam and Lucy fall in love....there are no words.  Cam came in to Lucy's life when she needed somone the most.  When she was at her lowest.  He gave her strength when she had none.  He gave her   hope!

Cam was Lucy's rock.  He was a hero to Lucy's brother's.  He was light in Lucy's dark.  They fell in love at just fifteen years old.  A forever love.  Their forever.

"...he made my impossible, possible.  And he had absolutely no idea he was doing it."
The second half of the book....watching Cam and Lucy fight for that hurt.  It made me cry.  My heart broke for them.  There was pain.  There was loss.  There was heart-ache.

But their love for each other was so strong.  Not once did I ever question that love.  Despite what Cam and Lucy went through, I never once doubted their devotion to each other.  I was never once uncertain about how they felt about each other.

"I love you, Lucy.  I'll always love you, even if you don't know it.  So...even if forever is eternal, I promise to love you for our forever."

Their love story wasn't perfect, but it was theirs.  It was their forever.

With the stress of looking after 6 brothers, Lucy finds a little hope in Cameron. Cameron promised her forever, but will their forever be possible?

When Ive highlighted half the book I know Ive got myself a winner. This book has everything I love: the first love tingles, Cam the sweetheart, Lucy the awesome heroine, the laughs, the angst, the heartbreak, the fun banter with the group, Logan, great family, Mark, the fast paced story, I could go on.

Granted I would have liked a little more Logan and maybe a little more sexy time, also 50-70% had me really worried. But all those small issues didnt matter to me because the romance between these two were adorable and heart clenching. My fav couple of the series.

Fans of the series already know how Matthew and Dee end up, but how did they get there? Welcome to Matthews story.

Matthew was like a more mature sensible version of Drew. He wasnt our douchey Drew but his POV was just as entertaining. Dee was a bit frustrating at times with her commitement issues but it didnt bug me much and I really liked her.

This book was really cute and there was a perfect amount of sexy time. If you are a fan of Tangled, I would strongly recommend this. It fills in all the blanks that we missed in book 1. It wasnt as funny, but I still really enjoyed it.

**Note: Readers do not have to read Twisted before this, this book was set in the same time frame as Tangled.**

She puts on the helmet, but doesn’t climb on the Ducati right away. She stands on the sidewalk, hands on her hips, looking thoughtfully at it. “What would you say if I said I wanted to drive your motorcycle to the party?”
“I’d say you’re shit out of luck. I don’t ride bitch.”
She knocks me upside the head—but my helmet softens the blow. “Then let me take it for a ride myself. Just around the block.”
“I . . .don’t think so.”
She pouts.
I sigh. “Have you ever driven a motorcycle before?”
“No, but I’ve always wanted to.”
“Well, I’ve always wanted to fly, but that doesn’t mean I’m gonna strap on a squirrel suit and skydive from the god damn Empire State Building.”
She steps closer, and rubs her placating hands up my chest. “Come on, please? I’ll be really careful and grateful. Really grateful. Like . . .deviantly, let you handcuff me to the bed, kind of grateful.”
Forget the national broadcast system—this is the test. Am I going to stick to my man-guns, keep my pride, and protect my cherished vehicle from almost certain carnage? Or, am I going to be ruled by my dick and swayed by the promise of kinky, have-Dee-at-my-mercy-all-night-long, sex?
No contest.
“Riding bitch, it is.”

Grace arrives in Sydney to help her brothers band out. Casey is part of the security responsible for the band. Both holding back secrets of their own, will they give in to their attraction?

I love the fun banter. I adore Casey, the sweet cocky caveman. I loved Grace's sarcastic humour. However, I felt Grace's secret was too dragged out and felt quite anticlimatic. The middle lost my attention a little. Also, I dont get why it took all these years for certain secrets to be revealed.

Overall I enjoyed it, had great main characters, with sexy time, humour, action and suspense, it has it all. But the ending... well that was just mean!!! I needed Macs book 2 years ago!!! Lol

years restoring, it still eats away at him.

#2 Give Me Strength

I slipped out the front door, letting it softly click shut behind me. Casey was sitting in his car, staring straight ahead as I walked down the drive. Opening the car door, I slid inside and shut it. He didn’t acknowledge my presence, or even look at me at all. He simply shifted gears, and with a quick glance in his rearview mirror, pulled out onto the road.

I clicked my seat belt into place. “Casey?”

With a hard swallow, he shook his head, keeping his eyes on the road as we drove. Despite his controlled composure, his face was pale and tension surrounded him like an aura.

“Casey, you’re scaring me.”

“I’m sorry.” Our eyes met for a brief moment, the connection intense. Raw pain flickered in his eyes before it was quickly banked. “That’s the last thing I want to do.”

His palm slid over my bare thigh, riding upwards as he continued to drive. The touch sent arousal spiking through me, but not enough to override the concern.

“Where are we going?”

He shook his head as if he had no clue. After a moment, he replied, “I want to drive, but I don’t want to be alone. I want to be with you.”

My eyes fixed on his profile as he drove. The knuckles of his right hand were white on the steering wheel and his jaw tight. Something wasn’t right. In fact, something was very wrong. I slid my hand over his, my pulse racing when he flipped his palm over and grabbed hold.

He glanced over at me.

“I want to be with you too.”

His answer was a squeeze of my hand before letting go.

We sat in silence as he drove. I stared at the dashboard, having no idea what to do or say or how to fix what was wrong.

“Are you okay?” I asked.

“Sure.” A smile came to his lips. It was forced because it never reached his eyes. “Just a bad day at work, you know?”

“No, I don’t know. Maybe you should tell me.”

The roads were eerily quiet when he pulled to a stop at a red light. “I don’t want to talk right now.” His hand fell on my thigh again, the calloused palm scraping my skin as it slipped upwards. Reaching between my thighs, he dragged my panties to the side and slipped his fingers inside, gently massaging my clit and dragging a moan from my throat. He leaned over, putting his mouth on my ear, his breathing coming harder and heavier.

“I want to fuck you, Grace. Not just tonight, but every night,” he professed, his fingers working me expertly. The red light turned green, but with no cars around, Casey ignored it. “Hard enough for it to hurt, so that when you leave, me fucking you is the only thing you can think about.”

I closed my eyes, my head falling back against the headrest. I wanted him to fuck me that hard. I wanted to feel him inside me even when he wasn’t there, but not like this. Not when he was using sex to mask a hurt so painful and deep I could feel the ache of it surrounding me until I felt suffocated.

“No,” I gasped.

He froze at the single word, his hand stilling instantly.

“There’s something wrong, Casey. I can feel it.”

His hand slipped out of my panties and I mourned the loss. “I don’t want to talk about it,” he snapped.

Tension bled into the car as he put it in gear and accelerated swiftly. My eyes burned. When we were good, it was wild and intense and consuming, but we always spiralled into such a hot mess. I wasn’t sure if Casey and I would ever find a happy medium.

Drawing a deep breath, I forced calm. “Maybe you should take me home.”

My brows flew up. “No?”

“No.” He shook his head, his tone cold and harsh. “This was your deal, and now you want to turn it into some kind of relationship? That’s not what this is. This is about you and me and sex. So maybe you should spread your legs so we can both get what we want.”

Blog tour: Harder

HARDER Synopsis:

In Robin York’s provocative new novel, two young ex-lovers find themselves together again in the shadow of tragedy—and an intense, undeniable attraction.

Caroline still dreams about West. His warm skin, his taut muscles, his hand sliding down her stomach. Then she wakes up and she’s back to reality: West is gone. And before he left, he broke her heart.

Then, out of the blue, West calls in crisis. A tragedy has hit his family—a family that’s already a fractured mess. Caroline knows what she has to do. Without discussion, without stopping to think, she’s on a plane, flying to his side to support him in any way he needs.

They’re together again, but things are totally different. West looks edgy, angry at the world. Caroline doesn’t fit in. She should be back in Iowa, finalizing her civil suit against the ex-boyfriend who posted their explicit pictures on a revenge porn website. But here she is. Deeply into West, wrapped up in him, in love with him. Still.

They fought the odds once. Losing each other was hard. But finding their way back to each other couldn’t be harder.
