Beyond Eden by Kele Moon

2 out of 5 stars

Hm:
O I'm not sure about this one. This was just sex sex and more sex, either MF, MM or MMF. I don't normally mind reading these but the slave/master thing put me off. I loved Kele Moon's battered hearts series so I thought I give this a try but there was too much dialogue.

Storyline or lack of:
So we have Danny boy and Paul guy as slave/master. Enter Evie Girl who is Paul's ex but Danny always had a thing for her too. Evie then starts a thing with Danny but Danny also has Paul on the side. Then to top it off theres Trisha who is Paul's fiancĂ©. You can guess what happens at the end. I would have liked this if there was more of a storyline but nothing much happened! I think this would be enjoyable for those that enjoy pure erotica it just wasn't for me.

Nicknames:
Paul Guy. Danny Boy. Evie Girl. These nicknames got on my nerves. Would have been better without it.

Woah:
I remember this book because of the couple of scenes where we have all four mountain men in the same room! I was swooning and thought I was going to faint. I love it when characters reappear later and of course my favourite Max is finally back. As well as the mountain men there is guest appearance of another character from KA other series.

Faye and Chace:
We met these two at the end of Lady Luck and I was intrigued. I knew without a doubt I was going to love Chace but Faye, she doesn't seem like the normal KA strong minded heroine. She was shy and timid but actually very likeable. In a way she was easy to relate to because she is always stuck in her book.

Storyline:
The previous Colorado book help set the scene for this book. So although all KA books are standalone I would recommend you read the series in order. Chace is a good cop gone bad but of course there are reasons for this. Easy to read and enough plot to keep you gripped. I can't wait for the next in the series.

Lady Luck by Kristen Ashley

5 out of 5 stars

Plot:
Ty wrongly imprisoned and when he gets out he meets Lexie who he needs in order to seek revenge. I thought the romance was lovely as it normally is with KA's style.

Should have took a break:
There was a lot of back story with sets the scene for the next book that kind of bored me. Having read all three Colorado books back to back I should have took a break because the books were getting a bit same with a hot alpha, strong heroine and predictable ending. So a warning to those who haven't read this series to get the full KA experience I would recommend a few other books in between the series.

Love KA books:
I didn't give the full 5 stars because I was flicking through some of the storyline that  is needed for the next book. Though I really loved Ty and glad to see some characters from the last book.

Fall by Kimberly Stedronsky

3 out of 5 stars

Storyline:
Second in the Roam series and following the ending from the last book I had no idea what was going to happen in this one. Again the plot moved quite quickly, there wasn't any dragging things out. But on the other hand  I do love my dragged out romance and I felt like West and Roam's romance reached its limit in book one. In a way their romance sort of took a backseat to the 'prophecy'. Not sure what more on the romance side there will be. There was a few twists here that didnt shock me as much as the first book.

Characters:
I wished I felt more of a connection between Roam and West but at times it felt like two strangers talking to each other. I'm getting a bit tired of this love triangle when clearly West and Roam are inevitably destined to be with each other. Logan scares me, for now I know he has good intentions but I'm not sure for how long. Other characters like Morgan are too trusting. If my sister told me everything that happened I would say she's loony.

Ending:
The ending here does make you want to dive straight into book 3. Again another sort of surprise at the end but I wasn't all that emotionally involved here. I will be reading the next but I think I need a break between these books.

Sweet Dreams by Kristen Ashley

5 out of 5 stars

Plot:
Second in the Colorado series we have a different couple, Tate and Lauren. Lauren has landed herself a job at the bike bar that Tate part owns. Tate's other job, a bounty hunter! Yup, expect murder hunt, kidnapping, and obviously a hot alpha male. What I loved about this book is the relationship is one storyline and the murder hunt another. There was a shocker in the book that I didn't see coming. Love it when that happens.

Alpha male:
I didn't think I will like Tate just because I really loved Max from the first book. But KA proved me wrong and I loved his alpha male tendencies as much as Max.

Ending:
I think after the first book you can expect what to happen at the end of this book and the HEA that follows. Loved this couple!!! Strong first two books of the series and this was the book that I became a KA-addict. I love her writing and how she adds banter between the couple, the story flows nicely and not too drawn out.

The Gamble by Kristen Ashley

5 out of 5 stars

Plot:
Being the first ever KA book I wasn't sure what I was getting into and I was pleasantly surprised. The story starts with Nina getting away from her fiancé and renting an A-Frame for some timeout. There she meets Max and then the story begins. The story from then flowed nicely and there was enough action to keep me gripped.

Max and Nina:
Yum yum... Who doesn't like a HOT alpha male!!! Since reading The Gamble I have gone on to read a further ten more KA books and although they are all alpha male I think Max being my first will always hold a special place in my heart. I liked the banter between him and Nina. Normally I read books with younger heroines, so I wasn't sure how I would feel about Nina. But actually I really liked her. She was strong minded and very likeable.

Ended perfectly:
I love it when a books ends like this. The thing I love the most is that it is a stand alone so a HEA is expected so no cliffys that have me screaming nooo at my kindle. I was so hooked on this book I went straight on to read the rest of the Colorado series. One of the best series of KA alongside her burg series.
