Be My Hero (Forbidden Men, #3)Be My Hero by Linda Kage

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 stars

Eva is alone to raise her newborn baby. Pick is supporting his friend and her child. But can they help each other?

I loved Pick, he was the loving caring family man. Eva was also a great feisty character. And the group of friends were fun. But I felt like all the non stop drama overshadowed the romance and it failed to deliver me that hearts and butterflies feeling. Although I didnt love it I still liked it.

It was in a way a bit insta love and OTT drama and I would normally hate that but I could make an exception here as I adore these characters and as always the writing was addictive. A great addition to the forbidden men series.

The majority of the book was in the past where Keira and Kona met at college. But what happens when there are so many obstacles in their way keeping them apart?

I was getting a lot of feels from this book. After a while I felt it drag and I wanted it to move back to the present. Kona was a douche but he had some sweet moments. Keira I found pretty awesome but after a while she kept running and I hate it when heroines (view spoiler)

Im glad I finally found a book that gave me the heart flutters, unfortunately it didn't last until the end. I still enjoyed it and I would definitely recommend if you like angst/tension college type turn second chance romance.

In Her Wake (Ten Tiny Breaths, #0.5)In Her Wake by K.A. Tucker

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

2 stars

The prequel for Ten tiny breaths told entirely from Coles POV.

Gah I actually made it through this depressing book. If it wasn't so short I may have DNF. It wasn't a companion novel which I'm glad for but it was just too sad for my taste. There wasn't anything in particular I enjoyed.

If you are a fan of the series or if you like to torture yourself with some heartache it may still work for you. Sadly not my type of book.

One Night of Scandal (an After Hours novel)One Night of Scandal by Elle Kennedy

Darcy is Reeds best friends ex girlfriend. Hooking up with her would go against the bro code. But can they deny themselves the intense attraction they have for one another?

I almost rated this 3 stars because of Reed. Yea he was a loyal friend and a dirty talker but he was such a wimp and made a dumbass move near the end. But that would have been unfair seeing I enjoyed everything else. Darcy was great, it was scorching hot and the ending was cute.

Short sweet and sexy, just how I like them sometimes. Don't be expecting any deep heartfelt romance though, it was heavy on the lust and smut.

The Rules Regarding GrayThe Rules Regarding Gray by Elizabeth Finn

Grace aka Gray is dating Ian. But when Ian suggest a threesome with his best friend Jasper, can Jasper and Gray stick to his rules?

I liked the overall idea behind the story and I'm glad that the writing had more dialogue than her previous works. Ian was a (view spoiler) I found there was just a few too many sex scenes. I actually skimmed some.

In the end I did believe in the couple's connection. I love EF books and I love steamy books but I guess my mood wasn't quite there for this one. But it was still an OK decent read.

Chasing Trouble (Chasing Love #1)Chasing Trouble by Joya Ryan

Colt is Jenna's best friends brother. One wild night shared but can they stay away from each other?

I love the couple both individually and together. We didn't get to read about them when they were younger but I didnt feel I missed anything. Had the book been longer I might have been a bit frustrated at Jenna.

See, this is how I love my Brazen books. Hot and smutty, great side characters, low drama, a little angst and let's not forget a stubborn hottie cowboy. Loved it!!

Blurb

as·sump·tion:a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proofThey say when you assume that you make an ass out of you and me. Kenton Mayson learned this lesson firsthand when he made assumptions about Autumn Freeman and the kind of woman she is based on what little information he had. What he finds out is she’s not only beautiful, but also smart, funny, a fighter, and exactly the kind of woman he wants to share his life with. Autumn made assumptions of her own about Kenton, and now he needs to prove her wrong in order to protect her and their future.

A turn of event in Autumns life has her living with Kenton temporarily. But what happens when he makes assumptions about her? Can he keep her safe?

This book gave me a cheesy grin for half the book. I totally have a girl crush on Autumn. But it never quite reached that 5 star feeling. Also the ending fell a bit flat for me and I felt it was perhaps too neatly wrapped up.

I enjoyed this. Awesome banter, kickass heroine, bossy hero. These type books cant go wrong with me.
