I didnt like Sabrina's manager/guy-she's-sleeping-with, Beau, I thought he was very manipulative. Once Wade appeared, there was no doubt who the right guy for her was.

There's a thousand words for you Sabrina. I'll say them all to you eventually.

I picked this up looking for low angst, sweet, sexy, cute romance and I got exactly that. For all my buddies who are hopeless romantics, this is a good one to pick up.

Brutally Beautiful by Christine Zolendz

Sooo... I think a storyline we are pretty familiar with. Girl on the run. Girl meets guy. Guy has traumatic past.

What I felt different with this book is the awesome heroine, Samantha. There was just too many quotes from her pov I could quote.

You need a hardcore detox for assholism

Kade on the other hand... One minute he couldn't stop staring at Samantha, the next he was just plain mean. Bottom line is: I found him creepy.

I liked this, great characters, great writing, lol momentsbut I felt it was missing romance rather than the lust. But with this being book 1, I'm hopeful there's more development to come.

Brother's Keeper by Elizabeth Finn

Best friend's brother are one of my favourite storylines. This one with the added abused shy girl, Rowan.

I love Elizabeth Finn's writing but the lack of dialogue made it hard to connect with Rowan and Logan. I felt a huge part in the middle was filler smut scenes and I do love them. But when you have one after another, I wanted the story to get moving.

Be happy and well and forget me fast

It was a good read. If you are looking for loads of steam with some angst and an abused girl finds her hero, then give this a go.

That said, I didnt find the story original, manwhore meets girl with issues/secret past. Writing wasnt spectacular either. It just gets to a point where I didnt care what happened to the heroine or when they get together.
